It’s possible that this may be sold out by the time you read this. But Brite Winter and AGDS Ventures are reviving a popular event from nearly a decade ago: Roar Along the Shore, with local musicians playing onboard the Goodtime III as it cruises the lake. Founding in 2011 by entrepreneur/event planner Danielle DeBoe, it was a sellout every year with the hottest local bands performing.

One of those was Seafair, led by vocalist/keyboard player Chayla Hope, who has since launched a solo career as an edgy dance/pop performer, foregrounding her powerful voice and big stage presence. She’s one of two artists who will perform on the revived version. The other is Wave Rowanne, a dance pop duo consisting of the trumpeter/synth player/vocalist who calls himself Wave Magnetik and spirited vocalist Rowanne Atallah, whose charisma can match Hope’s. There’ll also be a DJ spinning what they describe as “a specially curated Roar Along the Shore playlist” before, between and after sets.

A portion of the proceeds with benefit the 16th Brite Winter fest taking place next February. It’s a 21+ event.
