Artists are still questing — for a fest, that is. A group of artists who convened at the beginning of the year will be holding their fifth meeting this week, and nothing’s set in stone yet, so everyone is welcome to become a part of this group and share ideas.
This month’s meeting is a little different. It’s more of a casual networking event to meet like-minded people and toss around ideas informally. Bring a snack and something to drink, and maybe a friend or two — all ages, all creative disciplines, all levels of experience, even just people who enjoy basking in others’ creativity and helping to boost it.
It takes place at the Darl Center for the Arts in Slavic Village, a place you should definitely see! Founded less than two years ago by arts supporter Darl Schaarf, who relocated here from Alaska, bought an old abandoned library building, restored it and filled it will the works he’s been collecting for decades. Your jaw will drop. Everyone is welcome and it’s free. More info here.
