GardenWalk Invites You to Visit Private and Community Gardens in Ten Neighborhoods

Sat 7/13-Sun 7/14 @ 10AM-5PM

People who garden love to look at other people’s gardens to get ideas and inspiration. And there’s no better time to do so than the annual Cleveland GardenWalk, a two-day event that takes place in five different neighborhoods each day with nearly 400 gardens signed up to take part.

Each has a central location where you can pick up a map of all the community gardens, private gardens and public spaces and map out your own tour, choosing your own priorities. (You can also download the maps here.) In many of the locations, the gardener will be on hand to chat proudly about what they created and share their favorite growing tips.

On Saturday you can explore Fairfax, Glenville, Ohio City and Tremont, Old Brooklyn and West Park. On Sunday the participating neighborhoods are Slavic Village, Edgewater’s Clifton-Baltic neighborhood, Collinwood, Detroit-Shoreway and Little Italy. It’s a chance to not only check out gardens but also the restaurants, retail establishments and other amenities these neighborhoods have to offer.

It takes place rain or shine so if it’s overcast bring an umbrella. It also takes place in case of pandemic: it was the only major festival to take place in 2020!
