EDWINS Hosts Its Annual Bastille Day Event

Sat 7/13 @ 6-10PM

Bastille Day — the July 14 French holiday officially known in France as “the French National Celebration”— is the anniversary of the1789 storming of the Bastille, a Parisian prison where it was believed political prisoners were held, an event that signaled the start of the French Revolution, ending the monarchy and the country’s feudal system.

EDWINS, the Shaker Square-area nonprofit that trains people returning from prison in marketable culinary skills, never had a king or a feudal system, but still they like to celebrate each year. Since it’s known for its training in fine dining skills, you can expect outstanding food and beverage service at their Bastille Day Party, which starts at EDWINS Second Life Skills Center. The evening also includes live music, raffles amd silent auction items.

Get tickets here. As usual, all money raised goes to support EDWINS mission.
