Cuyahoga County Fair Fills Fairgrounds with Six Days of Rides, Food & Entertainment

Tue 8/6-Sun 8/11

Yes, it’s that time of year again: the Cuyahoga County Fair opens its doors at the fairgrounds in Berea for a full six days of fair stuff. You probably don’t need to be told what that “stuff” is. Rides. Cover bands. 4H exhibits. Crafts displays. Unhealthy food. FUNNEL CAKES.

And of course, there’s loads of special entertainment, including interactive activities such as Hoopernova, a hula hoop show (with fire!) that also offers you pointers on trying hooping yourself. The Route 42 Dance Academy, Grand Illusions by the Blooms magic show, an Elvis impersonator, a strolling balloon artist, Jungle Bob’s animal show, and a display by the National Model Railroad Association are among the many diversions you’ll find going on each day. The grandstand hosts the big events, including harness racing, a draft horse pull, a horse show, prop wrestling on two nights (August 8-9) and the crowd favorite at every fair concluding the week: the Demolition Derby on Sunday night, August 11.
