Reggae Band Shake Ground Plays at Edgewater Beach

Thu 6/27 @ 4-8PM

Music is breaking out all over the Cleveland Metroparks this summer, with free outdoor music weekly at Huntington Beach in Bay Village, the Emerald Necklace Marina in Rocky River, and the East 55th Street Marina, as well as several concerts apiece at Euclid Beach, Merwin’s Wharf and Edgewater Beach.

Since the former Edgewater Live concerts, these beachside concerts have been a big attraction, with food trucks, water activities and music wafting across the sandy expanse. There are three concerts there this summer, with popular local reggae star Carlos Jones reprising his previous jampacked appearances there on July 25. But you can get a preview of that vibe this week when Shake (pronounced Shaky) Ground hits the stage. This band consists of veterans of Cleveland’s wildly popular 80s/90s rockin’ reggae ensemble First Light which was, of course, the band Carlos Jones co-fronted.

It’s free and open to all.
