Plant sales are winding down, since most gardens are planted now. But you’ve still got time to get a few more things into the ground. If you’re looking to fill some space, head over to the Nature Center at Shaker Lakes for its Home Grown Sale. It features perennial native plants and shrubs grown and donated by local gardeners to benefit the Nature Center. More than 100 varieties of plants will be available including milkweed, coneflower, mountain mint, honeysuckle, black-eyed susan, goldenrod, aster and many more.
