It’s the first week of its 18th year for the Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market, which runs every Sunday through October 14.
Each year it’s packed with offerings from local farmers and food producers, as well as artisans with handmade gift-type items. The market also hosts local musicians each week, kids activities, and tables from environmental and health-related organizations.
If you’d like to make it a full healthy-lifestyle morning, join a group at Impett Park (3207 W 153rd Street) at 9am to bike to the market and make some new friends who are likely share your passion for eating well, exercising regularly and protecting the environment. Nothing to register or sign up for — just show up. All ages and abilities. It’s about an eight-mile ride.
