Wed 6/12 @ 5:30-8:30PM
One of Cleveland’s favorite summertime concert series, Wade Oval Wednesdays, starts its 2024 season this week. And onstage will be someone who has his slot nailed down: Cleveland city councilman Kevin Conwell, who represents this area, and his band the Footprints playing their easy-on-the-ears R&B-inflected jazz. Gee, do you think he has influence?
Between sets, the Cleveland Guardians Hotdog Mascots will provide a little comic relief. The events, which run through mid-August, offer plenty of food concessions and activities provided by area organizations. Bring a blanket or chair. Do not bring a tent! Ans bring the kids: it’s free and family-friendly and open to all. The stage is at the north end of the oval, farthest from the Cleveland Museum of Art which, by the way, is open late Wednesdays if you want to drop in. Get a schedule of performers here.
