Fairport Harbor Mardi Gras Celebrates Christmas in July

Wed 7/3-Sat 7/6 @ 1-11PM

Fairport Harbor’s annual Mardi Gras, held over the July 4 weekend each year, has become a tradition in the town. This year’s theme draws on another popular tradition for summer festivals: “Christmas in July.”

Most of what they’ll be offering is typical summer stuff: fair food, rides, games, DJ and live band music. But July 4 is Kids’ Day, and from 1-5pm, they can celebrate a second Christmas with visits from Santa and holiday cookie decorating, as well as non-traditional holiday fare such as a Touch-a-Truck event and cotton candy.

A parade takes place at 7pm on opening day, with this year’s queen crowned at the close of it. And the festival closes on Saturday July 6 with fireworks at dusk and a grand prize drawing at the conclusion of the fireworks. The festival takes place at Fairport Harbor Beach Park.
