Many people, including me, will fondly recall the eclectic vintage shop All Things for You on Lorain Avenue which was packed with everything from antique furniture, collectibles, vintage clothing, jewelry, postcards and oddities such as a pamphlet I picked up about a 1924 tornado in Lorain County that killed 85 people. It became the official historians for the Old Fashioned Hot Dog shop on their block which closed in early 2020 and they became the holder for its distinctive sign.
In 2023, flooding forced owners Tim Yanko and Dwight Kaczmarek to close their store, but it didn’t put them out of the game. Nine months later, they reopened in a mansion they’ve purchased at 3136 West 14th Street in nearby Tremont and completely renovated it. Visitors will find wares from more than 20 dealers over three floors.
It also features a large parking lot — patrons of its Lorain Avenue shop will cheer! — which it hopes to use for flea markets, pop-up shops and other special events.
