Station Hope returned to St John’s Historic Episcopal Church, known to be a stop on the underground railroad, as escaped slaves made their way to Canada. And each year, artists, musicians, dancers, storytellers and other performers present short acts, going on in a variety of spaces on the grounds, communicating ideas about equality, justice and freedom. The artists and performers ranged from elementary school children to elders, as did the audience.
