Thu 5/16 @ noon
If you’re free on Thursday or have some time during your lunch break, think about dropping by the Cleveland Museum of Natural history for its Breaks for Science lecture series to learn about an important topic: how some of Ohio’s native species became endangered and the efforts taken — and still underway — to restore their populations.
Museum Ambassador Emeritus Harvey Webster will recall the museum’s pioneering bald eagle breeding program in the 1970s, when it worked to save the birds from becoming extinct. He’ll talk about the factors that drive species extinction, both past and present, and how we can help to increase the biodiversity to sustain them.
The talk is free and open to all. Get more information here.
