Foraged Feast Features Sustainable Food, Environmental Education and Bowling

Thu 5/23 @ 5:30-9PM

If you’re passionate about helping to create a healthier food system along with a more sustainable ecosystem, your money would be well spent at the Tinker’s Creek Foraged Feast taking place at the Nash in Slavic Village.

This benefit for Tinker’s Creek Watershed Partners at Cuyahoga Valley National Park will feature a meal made from local foraged ingredients — things found growing in the wild which are new and fresh at this time of year — by Chef Rasul Welch of Saroj & Carlos.

The event will feature much more than food though: foraging, culinary and plant experts will talk about how to find and identify these plant foods, harvest them sustainable and prepare them into tasty meals. There’ll also be native plants and upcycled item as available for purchase and open bowling from 7:30-9pm.
