What more can be said about Pride in the CLE, now the official Pride celebration for Greater Cleveland, sponsored by the LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland? It took up the banner when the nearly three-decade Cleveland Pride folded in 2017, following a storm-related cancellation in 2015? Pride in the CLE has continued to expand, outgrowing its Public Square location, and now overflowing into Malls B and C.

The parade will start at 11am stepping off from Mall Am rounding public square and making its way up Superior to East 9th Street and back down Lakeside to Malls B & C. That gives viewers plenty of curb space to watch and keep a distance from those six sour-faced guys who are always there wielding the “Gays go to hell” signs. (Usually at the corner of East 9th and Lakeside: be warned).

After the always-colorful parade, you’ll want to hang out and take in the plethora of information and vendor booths, entertainment stages, food options and people-watching. There’s even a kids and family area, something sure to enrage certain Ohio state legislators, but they’ll be missing all the fun!

Pride is free, of course. There’s a constellation of events going on all week and well into the evening hours on Saturday, so the partying doesn’t have to stop at 6.
