The theme of The Cleveland Orchestra’s Mandel Opera & Humanities Festival this year is “power. The festival comes to a soaring, uplifting finale this Saturday with United in Song!: a free community choral celebration, taking place at Severance Music Center, that should certainly illustrate vocal firepower.

Cleveland musician/poet/writer and current senior director of programming at Pittsburgh’s August Wilson African American Cultural Center Orlando Watson will lead a combined phalanx of voices from several area choirs and chorus including the North Coast Men’s Chorus, the Cleveland Chorale, the Cleveland Orchestra Children’s Choruses, and Cleveland School of the Arts’ R. Nathaniel Dett Concert Chorus.

The concert is free but you must make a reservation here.
