Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Releases Album of Original Music by One of its Member

Mon 5/20 @ 7:30PM

The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra, which features many of this area’s teeming population of jazz musicians, both up-and-comers and veterans, turns 40 this year. And this week, it will host another celebration of that landmark when it performs a concert to mark the release of its latest CD The Cleveland Jazz Orchestra: Live at the Bop Stop.

In particular, it pays tribute to one of its veteran members, trombone player/educator Chas Baker, showcasing his talent as a composer, featuring his original compositions, which they’ll perform at the show. They’ll also be paying tribute to his influence as an educator on younger generations of musicians including members of CJO.

The concert takes place at Disciples Christian Church in Cleveland Heights. Get tickets here.
