Anyone who’s been to one of the North Coast Men’s Chorus’s very entertaining concerts (next series coming up in early June and featuring drag artist Nina West as special guest) knows the Coastliners, the chorus’s small ensemble of voices who perform specialty numbers — often costumed — during the concerts.
The Coastliners sometimes also perform their own sets at events around town, and this week they’re stepping out the kick off a series titled BELONG at the Fine Arts Center in Willoughby, a first-time series for the center. They describe it as “a musically theatrical concert series developed to celebrate diverse artistic gifts and talents. BELONG shines the spotlight on the distinctive ways in which those gifts and talents are conveyed through the lens of the arts.”
The Coastliners perform the first of four concerts taking place in April , followed on Sunday April 21 by the Improvaneers, and on Saturday April 27 and Sunday April 28 by the Gospel Music Historical Society.
