The Coit Road Farmer’s Market in East Cleveland is Northeast Ohio’s oldest farm market, with roots reaching back to the 1920s. It’s also the only one with its own dedicated building so that it can run year-round (Saturday morning from 8am-1pm). And in recent years, there’s been all sorts of improvements, upgrades and additions, including a test kitchen, a community garden, an area for urban farmers, and partnerships with programs that address health.
The market is a nonprofit organization so it needs to raise money. It raises some of it through low-coast fundraisers such as its french toast breakfast. For only $10 you get French toast with maple syrup, bacon, sausage or extra toast, and a drink. Serving starts at 10am and goes on until 1pm. Grab some toast and then browse the offerings from the array of all local vendors.
