How much eclipse-inspired work can you take? Currently at the Cleveland Museum of Art, the photography show Barbara Bostworth: Sun Light Moon Shadow explores light on earth and in the heavens to celebrate the April 8 eclipse.
But starting on April 3, you can also come down to the Bostwick Design Art Initiative gallery on Prospect to see the Eclipse the Photosphere, featuring more than 50 images by 28 mostly well-known local photographers. Their images will offer a variety of approaches both technical and visual: “photographic prints, camera-less light sensitive creations, monotypes, collages, constructions, scenes of nature and abstract patterns, dramatic uses of light and shadow, captivating portraits and still lifes, night and day, people and places, quiet moments and colorful skies.”
Come check it out at the free public reception on Wednesday April 3 @ 5:30-7:30pm. There’ll also be a special “preclipse” viewing from 9am-noon on Monday April 8. The show will be on view through April Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays @ 3-6pm.
