Author, journalist and podcast host Jo Piazza has written a dozen entertaining novels (including romance and suspense novels) and nonfiction books. Her brand new one, The Sicilian Inheritance, is a mystery adventure set in a Sicilian Village, with a story spanning generations as a young woman learns of her great grandmother’s possible murder there and the danger she herself faces. It includes a dose of Piazza’s strong feminist beliefs. And it’s based on Piazza’s ongoing investigation of the possible murder of her own great great grandmother in Sicily as she works with researchers in Italy and Ellis Island to learn what happened to her own ancestor.
Piazza will be in Cleveland to give a talk about her book, and she’s found an offbeat and appropriate place to do so: The Italian American Museum of Cleveland at 12111 Mayfield Road in Little Italy. It’s free and open to the public, but since space is limited, they suggest you preregister. Go here.
