Cleveland multimedia artist Bruce Checefsky has a long resume as a cutting-edge filmmaker, producing conceptual, experimental films of various lengths. This week you can take a drive to Youngstown’s McDonough Museum of Art for Lost and Unmade: The Films of Bruce Checefsky, a one-hour screening of seven of his short films, dating from 2001 to 2023.
They include his latest work, the six-minute Andy Warhol Films Jack Smith Filming Normal Love, based on a 1963 film by Warhol that was confiscated by NYC Police a year later. He’ll also be showing clips from the current film he’s working on.
The program is free and open to all.
