Sat 3/23 @ 7PM
Fly fishing is a specialized form of fishing typically done in wilder environments such as rivers, lakes and even the ocean, as anglers cast for trout, salmon, bass and other predatory species, in both fresh and salt water. It’s a true sportsman’s pastime.
If you’re not an intrepid sportsman but want to soak up pristine outdoor settings and watch people fish, then the Fly Fishing Film Tour is for you. Ok, maybe watching people fish doesn’t sound exciting, but it sure beats golf. And, like many other film series that focus on nature and outdoor sports, many of the films also have an environmental slant, connected to preserving their prime fishing locations from degradation, contamination, overuse and climate change.
The 18th annual Fly Fishing Film tour will be back at the Cleveland Museum of Natural History with a variety of short films that will take you on a tour of some of these locations.
Doors are at 6pm and food and drinks will be available for purchase prior to the 7pm screening. Go here for tickets.
