Happy Hour Program Revolves Around Ways to Reduce Food and Yard Waste

Wed 3/13 @ 4:30-6:30PM

Cuyahoga Valley National Park’s Low Power Happy Hours offer a chance for people interested in sustainability to hang out, have a few cocktails, meet similarly minded people, and learn something from a local professional.

This month, the topic is “Composting & Waste Reduction at Home.” The speaker is Ben McMillan of Rubber City Reuse, who’ll talk about how much food is wasted and how you can cut down on what you waste as well as create a healthy compost pile to keep both food and yard scraps out of landfills.

The event starts at 4:30 with a half hour of networking and cocktails, followed at 5 by the presentation with a Q&A period at 5:30. From 5:45 to 6:30pm, enjoy more cocktails and conversation to share what you got from the program and get ideas from others.

It takes place at CVNP’s Happy Days Lodge. It’s free for CVNP Conservancy members, $10 for others. Get tickets here.
