CIA Students Design Commemorative Eclipse Shirts to Benefit Canalway

It’s no secret that Cleveland is going eclipse crazy. Plans and promotions for the upcoming total solar eclipse on Monday April 8 have been happening for a year, and it’s one of those events people will be remembering for many years to come — and they certainly won’t be around for the next one to be visible in Cleveland, in 2444. So why not get a souvenir T-shirt to serve as a remembrance and conversation starter?

Canalway Partners and the Cleveland Institute of Art’s 2024 Advanced Studio Class have put together a collection of T-shirts featuring distinctive designs by the ten students: Robin Sutherland Wagner, Matison Griffie, Haley McMaster, Lia Weiksner, Emersyn Black, Kaylyn Kopp, Benjamin McDougall, Violet Randle, Mya Stipanovich and Izzy Taulbee.

The shirts can be purchased at Canalway’s online store now through April 30. Some are also available in children’s sizes, sweatshirts and long-sleeved tees. Proceeds from the sales will benefit the nonprofit Canalway. Check them out here.
