Fans of drag and melancholy ballads are set to unite at No Class to witness Regina Spektacular.

This sparkling homage to Regina Spektor is the brainchild of Ohio drag queen Dusty Bucket. By merging these seemingly unalike displays, Dusty is aiming at an untapped audience. “I think that if people say they don’t really like drag, you probably haven’t seen all types of drag in all the ways that drag can be,” she says.

As for the unconventional genre choice, Dusty is up for a challenge. “That type of music is harder to fill a room with. Focusing on the emotive part of performance is going to be really fun. Of course there will be plenty of stupidity and goofiness, but we also want something really emotionally charged. Something you’ll be thinking about long after the show is over.”

With performances by Bia Jewel, King Kae, Miss Willow Tree, Omega, Pineapple Honeydew Delight and Stella Damiana, this event is shaping up to be something special. Regina Spektacular runs for one night only on Friday January 12th.
