Thu 1/25 @ 5-7PM
There’s a lot of good things about northeast Ohio, and among the best is our access to nature, with our lakefront, our river and our Cleveland Metroparks. That makes protecting and preserving our natural gifts especially urgent.
The Ohio Environmental Council is hosting a (rescheduled) talk with Cleveland Mayor Bibb and Cuyahoga County Chris Ronayne to discuss the actions they’re taking around climate action and environmental justice in our community. That includes such topics as expanding equitable access to our natural assets including water and green spaces, increasing clean energy investment and restoring our once-legendary regional tree canopy.
The event takes place at the downtown Cleveland Library Louis Stokes Building. There’ll be light refreshments and the chance to meet and greet elected officials and environmental advocates and activists. It’s free and open to all. Register here. They’ve asked that you re-register even if you registered for the previous date so they can tell how many people to expect.
