Holden Arboretum Offers a Low-Cost Outdoor Experience in the Winter

Tue 2/6 @ 9AM-5PM

It may be chilly but put on some warm clothes and go outside: fresh air is good for you at any time of year.

And this is a great time to head out Holden Arboretum in Kirtland, northeast Ohio’s 3,500-acre nature preserve filled with forests, meadows, lakes and gardens. While its aerial attractions — the Kalberer Emergent Tower and Murch Canopy Walk — are closed for the season, there’s still plenty to see and do including winter bird watching and observing the way the infrastructure of the landscape opens up when trees are bare. And if there’s sufficient snow cover, you can even rent snowshoes.

And right now, admission is discounted so that’s one more reason to head out if you have a free day, Tuesday through Sunday, 9am-5pm. Get tickets here.
