Not sure why they’re calling it Groundhog Day Cabaret, presented by the Local 4 Music Fund, except that it’s happening on Groundhog Day, but the event, taking place at the BOP STOP, is offering a stellar lineup of jazz and pop vocalists.
Local 4 Music Fund’s Leonard DiCosimo will emcee the evening which will feature Amanda Powell, Vanessa Rubin, Kira McGirr and DiCosima on vocals, accompanied by pianist Eric Charnofsky. The show will benefit education and free music programs sponsored by the nonprofit Local 4 Music Fund including the Hingetown Jazz Festival and She Scores, which promotes the performance of work of women composers.
