“Dreadlock Dave” McDougald is one of Cleveland’s most amiable musicians. He and his signature blond dreads and sunny smile have fronted the Waterband and Big Ship, and radiated light at many solo gigs.
He’s also a vintage beer can collector which led him to being a fan of their contents and “the allure of hoppy and hazy brews.” So Crooked Pecker Brewing Company, a craft brewery in Chagrin Falls, created its official Dreadlock Dave Double IPA, described as “a citra and mosaic hop ‘grapefruit leaning’ hazy double IPA with an ABV of 8.5% … Many who are not IPA drinkers have even come to love this citrusy delight.”
Now the brewery is debuting its latest version of the Dreadlock Dave Double IPA in a special event at their tasting room. Taps start pouring at 3pm and Dave himself will take the stage at 6, undoubtedly with a couple of these ales under his belt. Come early and share a beer with him.
