Art House’s Community Culture Nights give people — both artists and those just interested in the creative process — the chance to hear from a local artist about their how they make their work. This month, the guest will be artist Lori Kella, whose photography-based explores issues surrounding climate change and the environment in subtle, beautiful ways that aren’t heavy-handed. She literally constructs her photos, building small nature-based worlds —mini dioramas — that she then photographs. Her images are striking, but once you’ve seen or heard how they’re created, they become even more fascinating and layered.
The program is free and open to all, no reservations needed.
