Sat 12/9 @ 11AM-6PM
The Brownhoist, located on the edge of AsiaTown, is the latest historic building in this area to be re-purposed as an artist building, with a model that encourages interaction an collaboration between creative people in different disciplines.
You can stop in and see what’s going on there when it hosts its holiday open house Saturday December 9 from 11am-6pm. You can poke around the building, enjoy some live music, shop vendors, play games and sip some wine and cider. During the open house, photographer Anderson Rush will be hosting a soft opening for his studio on the building’s third floor. Studio Soft Opening where he’ll be holding a “Pay What You Want” opportunity for a 20-minute portrait session.
And immediately afterwards, the monthly Short Film Open Mic takes place, starting at 6:30pm. The event gives all filmmakers a chance to show their work for free and get feedback from other filmmakers and film enthusiasts.
