Talespinner Children’s Theatre, founded in 201,is Cleveland’s only professional children’s theater, with a mission to share engaging and diverse productions that open kids’ eyes to new ideas, stories and cultures.

In recent years, it’s undergone a series of changes, including the retirement of founder Alison Garrigan in 2019, and this year, its move from its long-time home at the Reinberger Auditorium to new offices and classroom space in 78th Street Studios. That move necessitate another change: since the new space has no room for full performances, it’s taken its shows out into the community, such as its recent run of Hanukkah show A Light in the Night at the Mandel JCC.

This weekend, you and your kids have a chance to catch up with them at their 78th Street Studios space for a holiday party to celebrate Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, New Year’s and Christmas. There’ll be snacks, crafts and other activities, and Santa and Mrs. Claus will be there to greet the children. It’s a good time to and out what’s coming up on Talespinner’s schedule. It’s free and open to all, although donations are always welcome.
