Lantern Theatre Offers “A Christmas Carol” with Music, Refreshments & a Carol Sing-Along

Sat 12/16-Sun 12/17 @ 2PM

Stage versions of the Charles Dickens story A Christmas Carol are rife at this time of year on stages from professional theaters (such as Great Lakes Theatre, which has been offering its take for decades) to community theaters to school drama programs (my grade school did it every year.)

Cleveland’s Lantern Theatre has its own particular approach to this seasonal warhorse. It presents it as a staged reading by six actors with piano musical accompaniment, followed by hot cider, cocoa, baked treats and a Christmas carol sing-along. And it takes place in the restored barn at Dunham Tavern, adding a distinctive atmosphere to the proceedings. (Don’t worry; it’s fully heated!)
