Hingetown Businesses Host Church Avenue Walk and Shop

Sat 12/16 @ 10AM-4PM

If you haven’t been to the sub-neighborhood of Ohio City, dubbed “Hingetown,” yet, this weekend’s a great time to take a walk around there and check out the many new little shops that have popped up around Detroit Avenue and West 29thStreet.

One block south of Detroit on Church Avenue, facing West 28th, you’ll find a cluster of silver buildings dubbed “The Hangars,” which is home to a variety of small local, artisanal businesses, collectively called CityGoods. They offer everything from clothing to body products to leather goods to vintage decor to vinyl records. And this Saturday they’ll be part of Church Avenue Walk and Shop.

About a dozen businesses, in addition to the shops in the Hangars, are taking part, with food and drink specials, discounts and free Ohio City Stickers you can collect to be entered to a win neighborhood prize pack. They include eateries such as Patron Saint and Jukebox, Urban Orchid flower and gift shop, Blow Hair & Nail Studio, Luca’s Barkery dog treats, Harness Cycle, and the neighborhood’s legacy business, The Dean Rufus House of Fun, with its oddities, novelties and treasures.
