Cleveland-based soul-infused rockers have had quite a year. You could hardly find a festival, benefit or special event where they weren’t on the bill, often as a headliner. Led by charismatic vocalist Mikey Silas, the band keeps getting tighter and hotter, delivering can’t-sit-still performances at every show. With the right moves and a little luck, next year could be their blast-off year.
They’re ending their year with a bang, with a Holiday Special performance at the Beachland Ballroom that’s really different. They’ll fill the room with couches, rugs, lamps, plants and even a Christmas tree, so you’ll feel like you’re hanging out with friends. And they’ll be bringing in a whole flock of special guests, including TobyRaps, Esther Fitz, Maura Rogers, Malana Bloom, Gabriel Miller, Jame Begin, Jared Horgan, Frida and guitarist Henry LoConti from the band LoConti, another act that’s had a breakout year.
“We in the band have all had a year of so many ‘things, life, soul-shifting’ going on,” says Silas. “Months have felt longer, we have started new jobs, had kids, lost loved ones, and experienced newness. It’s a lot for the human soul. Since we have teamed up with so many people this year, it will feel nice to sit down and take in the holidays.”
