The moon has fascinated people for endless millennia, probably since people existed. It generated many myths and superstitions prior to modern science and technology giving us the ability to know much more about it. Still, the moon can dazzle us with its beauty and intrigue us with its constantly changing cycles.
Join a naturalist at Summit Metro Parks Liberty Park Nature Center in Twinsburg for Full Moon Discovery, a program revolving around the full moon in the sky that evening. They’ll light a fire to enjoy while you hear a presentation about the moon’s cycles. Afterwards, if you choose, you can go outside (dress warmly!) and have a look at the full moon through a telescope.
It’s free and open to all. For more information, call 330-865-8065 or go to summitmetroparks.org/Programs.
