Light Up Lakewood Kicks Off the Holiday with a Parade, Fireworks, Santa and Much More

Sat 12/2 @ 4-8PM

The Light Up Lakewood holiday celebration, now in its 17th year, isn’t just for Lakewood residents: it attracts celebrants from all over the Greater Cleveland area.

The family-friendly event, taking place on Detroit Avenue in Downtown Lakewood, starts at 4pm with when the food trucks, a beer garden, indoor vendor market at the Masonic Temple and outdoor vendor market open for business. But it really gets going at 5pm when the holiday parade steps off from Detroit and Belle avenue, followed by the lighting ceremony at 6:30 and finally, the fireworks show at 7.

All of that’s accompanied by live music, DJs spinning holiday tunes, ice carving demonstrations, carolers, games for kids and the chance to visit Santa in front of the Lakewood Public Library.

It’s free and open to all.
