Even if you’re a big city person or not a fan of Hallmark holiday movies, you have to admit that small towns can be charming at Christmas. And in northeast Ohio, the little town of Peninsula, which is charming year round, becomes more so for the holidays.
It kicks off the holiday season with its annual Candlelight Walk which all are welcome to take part in. Its main street will be lined with luminaries and at 6pm the village Christmas tree, decorated with Christmas balls, contributed by local residents, will be lit up. Area high school carolers will be singing around the tree and later in a program at Bronson Church as well as around the village throughout the evening. You’re invited to wear an ugly Christmas sweater if that’s your thing!
Expect the town’s cluster of distinctive shops to be open for gift-shopping as well as eating and drinking.
