Kieran Kane first became well known in the country music scene for his work with country music duo The O’Kanes. He went on to former an independent Americana label and continued to enjoy such as a songwriter or artist such as Emmylou Harris, Alan Jackson and John Prine.
Fiddler, guitarist, singer and songwriter Rayna Gellert came from a traditional Appalachian old-time music background touring with many noted artists as an accomplished fiddler.
The two met at the Hardly Strictly Bluegrass Festival in San Francisco, which led to their co-writing song or Kane’s 2016 album Unguarded Moments and Gellert’s 2017 album Workin’s Too Hard. Then they merged as a duo for 2018’s The Ledges, 2019’ When the Sun Goes Down and 2022s The Flowers That Bloom in the Spring.
They’ll be performing together at Peninsula’s G.A.R Hall as part of its Voices in the Valley series. Go here for tickets.
