Women’s Air & Space Museum Program Highlights Behind-the-Scenes Roles in Aviation

The International Women’s Air & Space Museum is hosting another “Dinner with a Slice of History,” program that call attention to the contributions women have made to aviation.

“Life in the Air Starts & Stops on the Ground” looks at the role that those on the ground play in designing and developing aircraft and making sure they’re functioning properly.  It will feature two women who performed in such roles:

Dr. Claudette Owens and U.S. Army Colonel (ret.) Mary Miller. They’ll talk about their behind-the-scenes roles with the U.S. Army Space & Missile Defense Command and share how they’re essential.

Registration is required; tickets include the program and a boxed dinner. Deadline to register for the in-person event is Thursday October 12. Virtual tickets are also available. Go here.
