Georgia-born vocalist/songwriter Lilli Lewis initially trained as an opera singer and classical pianist before her musical interests led her in another direction, performing what she calls “sacred songs into profane spaces.” She’s since soaked up influences from a wide range of traditional American music genres including folk, blues, jazz, and gospel, as well as the diverse sounds of New Orleans where she now makes her home. Her 2021 album, titled Americana, firmly plants her flag among the musicians inspired by American roots sounds.
She’ll be the next performer presented by Cleveland nonprofit group Folknet as part of their fall concert series. She’ll perform at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Lyndhurst. Admission is $15. Get tickets here.
