Drag Queen Stars in Graffiti HeArt’s Graffiti & Glam Benefit

Sat 11/4 @ 6-10PM

How do you combine drag and graffiti? It’s no surprise that one of northeast Ohio’s most creative, out-of-the-box arts organizations has found a way to do it.

This Saturday, the nonprofit arts group Graffiti HeArt, which provides art scholarships for young street-style artists and connects artists of all ages with mural projects, is presenting Graffiti & Glam. Its centerpiece is another of the area’s most creative projects: “Cleveland’s tallest drag queen” Veranda L’Ni, whose projects extend well beyond her performances to include the annual Cleveland Drag Showcase, regular Drag Brunches at the Music Box and Drag Story Hours at Near West Theatre.

For this event Veranda will be modeling a graffiti-painted wardrobe created by local artists. Then the various pieces will be auctioned off to raise funds or Graffiti HeArt’s work. Come dressed to slay because you’ll have to chance to walk the red carpet, before enjoying drinks, snacks, DJ music for dancing and of course, the fashion show.
