APL’s Fur Ball Gives Animals in Need a Second Chance

Sat 11/4 @ 5:30PM

Hey there, animal lovers. You’re probably aware of all the work that the Cleveland Animal Protective League does to help animals of all types, including those brought in who are sick or injured or have special needs. That’s what their Second Chance program is for: giving those animals a chance to mend and find a new home.

“We are no longer simply a shelter for homeless animals and victims of neglect and abuse,” they say. “Our newly remodeled facility is now an animal resource center that includes a state-of-the-art medical clinic with the ability to offer life-saving care to animals in need.”

That’s the program that’s funded by the APL’s annual gala, the Fur Ball–Viva Paws Vegas, taking place at the InterContinental Hotel Cleveland, with special guest host Monica Robbins.

Attendees will hear some stories of animals helped by the program with a special appearance by one of the dogs given that Second Chance. In addition, there’ll be raffles and a live auction to raise even more money for these at-risk animals. Go here to get tickets.
