Tremont Arts and Cultural Fest Reflects Neighborhood’s Diversity

Sat 9/16 @ noon-7PM

Sun 9/17 @ noon-5PM

Now in its 24th year, the Tremont Arts and Cultural festival helps keep alive Tremont’s longstanding reputation as an arts neighborhood, despite changes over the years. The more than 100 artists that line the paths of Lincoln Park are primarily local, with some who still live and work in Tremont or have connects to it.

The festival also features live music and dance performances representing a range of cultures and ethnicities, a children’s village with hands-on activities, and a community village with booths from area nonprofits and independent businesses. There’s a food area serving up eats from local chefs and restaurants, with a heavy focus on Tremont offerings including the Tremont Farers Market — if Tremont has become less artsy, it’s become a lot more foodie.

The festival is free. Get more information.
