Show by Two Noted Local Artists Addresses Risk-Taking Through Abstract Art

Wed 9/13 @ 5-7PM

Two noted northeast Ohio artists have joined forces to create a show called Precarious Situation, which will be on view at the Tri-C Western Campus Art Gallery Wet through October 12. Come to the gallery on Wednesday September 13 to meet Jenniffer Omaitz and Patty Flauto, see their work and hear from them what inspired it.

This body of abstract works “challenges our visual footing and asks us to reconsider the art experience differently through: formal and temporal qualities, color, space, movement, perspective, and illusion,” according to the artists’ statement.

They describe the works as driven by the need to take risks and respond to uncertainties, hence the title of the show.

“This exhibit takes us beyond the edge of falling and into a world of conceptual fascination where any hints of realism are left behind, asking the viewer to reconsider instability through art that is captivating and intriguing,” they tell us.

The reception — and the show — are free and open to all.
