The theme of this year’s IngenuityFest, which took place at its sprawling four-story space at the Hamilton Collaborative Fri 09/22 – Sun 09/24, was “Biologies and Geologies,” a theme expressed in exploding volcanos, climbing foliage and much more.
Throughout the building and out on the campus, there are areas to explore, things to do and performances to watch on six stages and tucked inside various nooks and crannies. There were displays of fire accompanied by Tesla Orchestra’s lightning-spewing coils; there were acrobats and hula hoopers, and a roller rink and bumper cars you could try yourself. The Dream Destination featured fantastical installations, many of them interactive. There were also loads of local makers showing off their wares for sale in the Maker’s Mecca and area organizations sharing information about their offering in the Ideation Station. And if things got too much for the littlest people (the event attracted every age and type of person) there was the chill Family Village to get away from it all.
Even if you went all three days you couldn’t experience everything. But we spent a bunch of time there and captured as much as we could. CoolCleveland’s Anastasia Pantsios, and Thomas Mulready, co-founder of Ingenuity, documented the happenings on video & photos.
