Cleveland photographer Greg Murray had carved out a niche for himself that sounds a lot more fun than dealing with bridezillas very weekend: he specializes in animal photography, with an emphasis on that most amiable of critters: the dog.
The latest of his books devoted to dogs is called Gotcha Day! Adoption Tales of Remarkable Rescue Dogs. It features more than 60 rescue dogs and the families that adopted them, sharing the bond that led to their adoption.
Greg will be greeting visitors and signing books at a release party and fundraiser at the Bottlehouse Brewery in Lakewood. While the event is free, attendees are encouraged to bring donations —cash and pet supplies — for Neighborhood Pets Outreach & Resource, a nonprofit that helps low-income pet owners so they don’t have to give up their four-legged friends. (Here’s their wish list: neighborhoodpetscle.org/wish-list.html) There’ll be raffle baskets to raise money as well, including a photo session with Greg. Books will be available for purchase through Visible Voice Books. Go here for more information.
They warn people to leave their dogs at home, given the large crowd expected.
