Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District (NEORSD) annual Fresh Water Fest is back, giving area residents the chance to see what all is involved in delivering the endless supply of water for drinking, cooking, cleaning and bathing that many of us take for granted.
The day is filled with activities, including tours of the Southerly Wastewater Treatment Center, one of the largest working plants of its kind in the U.S. with almost 300 acre of working equipment. In addition, there’ll be a five-mile bike course inside the Southerly treatment center and connected trails in the Cleveland Metroparks; space is limited so register yourself and your bike here.
The event also includes games with prizes, educational activities around clean water, talks by experts who can share information about NEORSD’s and other environmental activities, food and performances. It’s a free, all-ages event so my guess is there’ll be face painting too. The kids would be upset if there wasn’t!
