The summer-long run of the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo’s sixth annual Asian Lantern Festival final comes to an end Saturday September 16, after being extended due to the number of visitors who flock to see the lavish lighting displays constructed from more than 1,000 lanterns. The spectacular displays throughout the grounds include a 40-foot lantern, walk-through tunnels and the 150-foot Enchanted Garden Experience filled with butterflies, flowers and insects.
But there’s one last chance to see it — if you have a bicycle. On Sunday September 17, the family-friendly “Wild Ride” will allow cyclists of all ages to ride through the zoo after hours as darkness starts to fall. In fact, it’s a rare chance to zoom through the zoo on two wheels. But you must have a bike and a ticket: get tickets here.
